What would you like to know about me?
I have been asked from what cameras I use to what I wear to a wedding, and of course the "beef or salmon" question.
I prefer fish and I use Nikon and Fuji Rangefinder professional cameras. I wear a suit and tie to your formal event, but also love the informality of island weddings.
I photograph in the same manner as I did in the film days, always creating in-camera.
I anticipate moments and allow my clients to enjoy their day. They do not work for me, I work for them.
The days of film were the days when a photographer had more awareness of time, place and subject. Capturing a moment demanded much more than holding down the shutter release button. It required attentiveness, precision, timing and of course skill. Being in the moment and true to it, was an essential part of photography and it remains so for me today.
I have embraced our new tools, from digital cameras to the software that allows us to create and modify, but I still follow the “in-camera” approach. This means that I aim to create as I capture with a minimum amount of post- production. If the image is not powerful or meaningful to my client, then I don’t attempt to rescue it in photoshop. I seek to create authentic images with substance and depth of emotion, images which speak of truth and beauty. This is my goal. This is my passion.
I have been commissioned to photograph weddings in Dubai-United Arab Emirates, Lago di Como-Italy, Napa Valley-USA, Jumby Bay- Antigua, San Franciso-USA, Athens Greece,
