Individual images that describe how, what, where, why and when I was inspired to create or capture such images presented. Did they immediately capture my eye's attention, or was it in the editing process. What did I learn and what did I carry through to the next shoot. Did they just inspire me or teach me. Does it impress me this week, this month, year, or simply today. has it become an iconic image for my portfolio, is it competition worthy or a blog submission. Does it matter. What counts primarily are my clients' wants and needs and mine are secondary. I am a wedding photographer.
Walking near the sea on the island of Patmos I came across these tire tracks and thought how unique and interesting this was nature and man made impressions. Returning the next day with my pinhole adapted camera to capture what I thought was a wonderful fusion only to realize the tragedy. I was standing on sea salt fields which should have never been driven on.
Being completely open minded as a photographer is usually reserved for the artist. The risk level is low in wedding photography. I never forget that I am documenting a family event, but sometimes a series of images slightly over-exposed and slightly soft when presented together create a dream like sequence...
