George Mavitzis Photography | Saint-Viateur d'Outremont Church | Ristorante Beatrice
I remember waiting at a cafe on Fairmount street last year, for my initial meeting with Marie-Paule and Vincent. They were running a tad late so I went ahead and ordered myself a glass of red and a tart tar. Not something I would normally do, but it being near dinner time and glancing around I figured no harm. Devouring my tart tar and swallowing my glass of red, I saw Marie-Paule walk in and right behind her was Vincent. A cup of tea for the future bride and a glass of red for the future groom. I instantly felt that these two were now friends and it really didn't matter to me if they booked me or not. Two days later they signed, confirming their trust in my work.

Living in New York and bride being from Montreal simply meant that from beginning to end this wedding would completely be urban. One of most beautiful churches in Outremount minutes away from the Historic Windsor Station. I had previously photographed Michele and Colin a year ago, and that shoot was the beginning of our friendship. A joy shooting that then, but capturing these truly genuine images on their wedding day brought back the memory of that trust. There is one particular image, an emotional Michele, where everyone stepped away to give her a moment. I only felt the opposite..to be there with her and capture it.
